Turn new sign-ups into active, loyal users
Macaw puts product tours, contextual help, FAQs, achievements and privacy-compliant cookie consent inside your app with one SDK, and lets your team run all of it from one dashboard. No release needed to change a single word.
Consent you can prove, not just collect
Most cookie banners stop at the pop-up. Macaw keeps a record of every decision with the exact wording the visitor saw, so you can show what was agreed and when.
- A banner that does it properly: per-category toggles, optional categories off by default, and "Reject all" exactly as easy as "Accept all".
- Every decision stored, tamper-evident: each Reject, Save or Accept is written to Macaw's servers in a hash-chained log.
- The exact wording, kept: every record points to the version of the banner text the visitor saw.
- Search and export for audits: look up one visitor's history, or export decisions as CSV.
- Erasure and retention handled: erase a person's records on request; old records are cleaned up on schedule.
Explore consent management. $5 per 10,000 consents a month; tours, help and achievements included.
Guide, engage and stay compliant from a single platform
Product tours
Build step-by-step coachmark tours in the dashboard and anchor each step to your real UI. Macaw starts the right tour on the right page, shows it once per user, and tells you who finished.
Contextual help
Attach help popups to any element or action in your product. Users get a short, specific answer at the moment of confusion instead of hunting through docs or opening a ticket.
FAQs & content
Give users a searchable FAQ inside your product, with the same markdown, images and video as the rest of your guidance, all managed from one content library.
Achievements & streaks
Record what users do with one call. Rules turn those events into achievements and streaks, and the Macaw widget celebrates each one in your product, so progress feels like progress.
Interaction events
Every tour step, help popup, FAQ view, consent choice and achievement emits a structured event. Pipe them into the analytics and product tools you already use.
Cookie consent
A banner that asks the way privacy regulators expect, and a record of every answer. Macaw stores each decision on its servers with the exact wording the visitor saw, so you can show what was agreed and when.
Spaces & teams
Spaces keep each product, customer or environment fully isolated: its own tours, help, FAQs, achievements, consent settings and team. Manage all of them from one account.
Live in your product in an afternoon
- Create a space for your product and invite your team.
- Add one script tag to any web app.
- Write tours, help, FAQs and achievement rules in the dashboard; they go live without a release.
Pay for the consents you manage
$5 for every 10,000 visitors whose consent Macaw manages each month. Every feature is included on every tier.
Frequently asked questions
What is Macaw?
Macaw is an engagement and consent platform for SaaS products. One embeddable SDK adds cookie consent, product tours, contextual help, an in-app FAQ and achievements to your web app, and your team manages all of it from one dashboard without a release.
How does Macaw store cookie consent?
Every Reject all, Save choices or Accept all decision is recorded on Macaw's servers with the choice for each category and the version of the banner text the visitor saw. Records are kept in a tamper-evident, hash-chained log that you can search and export as CSV. The choice is also saved in the visitor's browser so your site can act on it immediately.
Can I delete a person's consent records?
Yes. An admin can erase one person's records on request, and records older than your retention period are cleaned up automatically.
How much does Macaw cost?
Pricing is based on consents managed: $5 for every 10,000 visitors who save a consent choice in a month, billed monthly. Product tours, contextual help, FAQs and achievements are included on every plan.
Which frameworks does Macaw work with?
Any web app. Macaw ships as one script tag with its own scoped styles, so it works with React, Vue, Angular, server-rendered pages or plain HTML without touching your CSS.
Does the Macaw cookie banner follow GDPR guidance?
The banner follows European regulators' guidance for cookie banners: optional categories stay off until the visitor opts in, and rejecting is exactly as easy as accepting. Macaw is a tool, not legal advice, so have your counsel review your wording and categories.
